Ice Devils Come Home Empty Handed
Another good game of hockey on Wednesday evening saw our Midget Local League Ice Devils come up just short as South Muskoka doubled up Almaguin 4-2 to take the bronze medal in this season's MPS wrap-up in Huntsville.
South Muskoka got on the board first with just.03 seconds left in the 1st period and would hold the lead until Almaguin's Thomas Smith tied the game late in the 2nd. Muskoka were able to add one more in the middle frame to take a 2-1 lead to the 3rd.
Refusing to go quietly, the Ice Devils fought back in the 3rd to once again tie the game courtesy of Sabastian Patterson, before South Muskoka took the lead for good, then added an insurance marker late in the game to secure the bronze. Almaguin assists on the night went to Liam Zurbrigg-Tutt, with 2 and Noah Haggart.
