A 6 goal 2nd period quickly put an end to our Midget LL Ice Devils 1-game win streak Sunday evening in Huntsville as Aben Graphics skated away with an 8-1 victory.
Full marks to a determined Huntsville squad as they out worked, out hustled and out played Almaguin for much of the game and jumped out to an early lead with 6:51 remaining in the 1st period before adding two more, just 8 seconds apart to open the 2nd before the Devils would even get on the board.
Almaguins only marker of the night came on an inspired Lindsay Young-Sabastian Patterson-Dennis Luckasavitch shift, with Luckasavitch (from Patterson) netting the goal.
That was it. Aben would go on to score 4 more in the period and another in the 3rd to secure the 8-1 win.
