Bradford Tournament Wrap-Up
The past weekend saw lots of fun and team bonding off the ice and some good hockey on the ice as our Midget LL Ice Devils took part in the Bradford Blue & Gold Classic Tournament.

Unfortunately our Midgets weren't quite able to get the offence going, losing 4-0, 5-0 and 6-0 to three top quality opponents.

In GAME #1, Almaguin were not without chances, but the opposition Strathroy Rockets were able to bury two in the 2nd and two in the 3rd to take the win.  Almaguin player of the game, with a stellar game between the pipes was #1 Jacob DiSomma

GAME #2 brought a match-up with a very talented Eagles team from Nepean, Ontario.  In perhaps the best game played all season, Almaguin were unable to get a puck past Eagles net-minder Noah Donoghue who turned in a masterful performance.  Almaguin player of the game (on his birthday) was #3 Jevin Ronholm, who could have had a least 3 goals if not for the Nepean goaltending.

The final Almaguin game of the tournament, GAME #3 was an all-northern match-up as our Ice Devils took on a Major Midget team, the Onaping Falls Huskies from Sudbury.  Speed kills and the very fast Huskies were able to score three in the 1st, one in the 2nd and three in the 3rd to seal the victory.  Onaping Falls would go on to win the Midget HL/LL division of the tournament.  At least we were beaten by the best!  Almaguin player of the game was #18 Stephanie Young, who turned in a very solid defensive effort.

Congratulations to #12 Lindsay Young, who was named Almaguin's Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Despite the result, hopefully a great time was had by all! :)
