The "Anna-Conda" strikes twice for Almaguin...
This past Saturday saw the Bantam Ice Devils down in Huntsville for an early morning tilt with a solid Heather Douglas squad and like a snake in the grass, Almaguin waited patiently (almost too long) to strike.

The Ice Devils did get on the board first as team captain Cliff Loucks streaked in and ripped a low shot past the Heather Douglas goaltender for a 1-0 lead. The lead was short-lived however as the home team would reply late in the first to tie the game at one, after one.

The second period again saw the Devils score first as winger Anna Wager picked the top corner with a blistering slap-shot, only to see Huntsville score two more in the frame for a 3-2 home town advantage heading to the 3rd.

Almaguin got on the board first again in the final period courtesy of Wager's second goal of the game, but once again, Heather Douglas had an answer to make it a 4-3 contest.  Looking to at least salvage a point, Almaguin did just that as Loucks sent Markus Krajinovic in on net and Krajinovic made no mistake, potting the tying goal with just 2:01 remaining in the contest to make it a 4-4 final.

A point apiece seemed fitting as both teams battle back and forth all game long and were very evenly matched.

In addition to the Loucks assist on the Krajinovic goal, other helpers on the day went to Ayla Carter, Clayton Johnson and Dylan Watt.
