Novice Ice Devils Back at it!
Sunday, the novice Ice Devils were back at it, with a late afternoon game, in Port Carling, against the Muskoka Rock.

It was a slow start for the Ice Devils. They were down 2-0 at the end of the first.

They got things moving in the second with a late goal by Aiden Cremer assisted by Owen Prentice and Nathan Hill. After that, Almaguin found their legs and were unstoppable!

Quintan McFarlane and Emilia Jarvis had their stick on the puck in the defensive zone. Matthew Wilkie created turnovers in the neutral zone. Christopher Chatelain hustled back to stone a couple breakaway skaters and Mason Croxon-McNay stuck with his man in the defensive zone, lifting the puck high on the boards to help clear the zone. Great defensive play, Ice Devils!

The entire team pulled together in the third to help get the puck out of their end providing more offensive opportunities.

Owen Prentice continued the scoring in the third with Aiden Cremer and Cole Farquhar assisting. After a few minutes of hard play and great goaltending by Eloise Worrell, Max Durand fought for the puck in the neutral zone and got the pass out to Maxime Major Fleming for a shot on net. The Ice Devils were on the power play again when Owen netted his second of the game, assisted by Eric Vincer and Cole Farquhar. The fans went crazy when the tying goal hit the back of the net!

Sticking with their defensive game plan, the Ice Devils fought hard for the go ahead goal, scored by Cole Farquhar, and assisted by Evan Poljanski and Owen Prentice. The stands were electric!

A quick time out allowed the coaches to formulate a plan to defend the lead with a minute to play. Muskoka pulled their goalie for the extra skater, but the Ice Devils were determined to hold onto the lead. The team battled hard to defend and gained control of the puck with Owen Prentice potting the empty netter for his hat trick, assisted by Eric Vincer.

A slow start, but a determined team of Devils resulted in another win. Great team work Ice Devils.

Next up, Huntsville on Saturday and a home game on Sunday. See you at the rink!
