Novice Ice Devils travel to Angus
The Novice Ice Devils faced the Essa Eagles on the Eagles home ice
Saturday afternoon, after a few days off for Christmas celebrations.
The Ice Devils came out of the gate strong and with a focus on defensive play. The Ice Devils forced the Eagles to work for every opportunity and held them off from any major scoring chances. With only half a minute left to play in the first, Owen Prentice scored a great backhander, assisted by his defensemen, Mason Croxon-McNay and Matthew Wilkie.
Almaguin’s intensity remained high in the second and third periods and the team worked together to make great passes which resulted in some solid shots on net. The defensive game never wavered. The Ice Devils held the line and hustled back to the defensive zone beating their opponents and kept shots on the Devils net to a minimum. Eloise Worrell made some great saves which resulted in a shutout for her birthday!
Great game Ice Devils! Next week they face the Huntsville Otters on home ice.
