Fit To Be Tied.
Almost. After taking the lead on Sabastian Patterson's 2nd of the evening with 2:17 remaining in the game, South Muskoka sent our Ice Devil Midgets home somewhat disappointed by scoring the equalizer just .28 seconds later to end the game in a 5-5 tie.
In a well played, back and forth game by both teams, Almaguin would get on the board first, as captain Brett Joiner tallied unassisted in the first.
A hard working shift led to a Sabastian Patterson 2nd period goal, before Muskoka Highlands would add two and take a 3-2 lead at the end of two.
The two teams combined for a 5 goal third, 3 for Almaguin, 2 for SM leading to the eventual 5-5 final score. Ice Devil 3rd preiod goals were scored by Kandice Butson (on the PP and her 1st of the year), Thomas Smith and Sabastian Patterson, while game assists went to Smith with 3, Joiner, 2 and Noah Haggart.
Next Up; MPS LL Play-down Game #4 - Wednesday Mar. 4, 7:50 PM vs Aben Graphics at South River Arena.
