Bear Attack!
Following a cancellation of Saturday’s
game in Huntsville, the Midget LL Ice Devils finally got back to game action on
a snowy Sunday afternoon at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena as they battled the
much improved (from the last time they met) South Muskoka Bears.
Following a scoreless first, the swift skating Bears seemed to capitalize on every Almaguin mistake in the final two periods, scoring twice in the 2nd and three times in the 3rd to take a relatively easy two points by a 5-2 margin. Scoring for Almaguin were Jeremiah Ardiel (from Rainan Morgan) and Dennis Luckasavitch (from Ardiel and Liam Zurbrigg-Tutt).
The end of Sunday’s game also means some big skates to fill going forward as it marked an early end to the season for one of the team’s top defenders as second year player Lindsay Young heads out on a school student-exchange until spring. Good luck to her from the team!!
