Aben Graphics 7, Almaguin 3 :(
Our Midget Ice Devils came up short for the second consecutive game on Sunday afternoon in Burk's Falls, losing 7-3 to a strong Aben Graphics team. The loss dropped Almaguin to 0-2 to begin the '14-15 MPS LL Play-downs.
Down 2-0 in the waning seconds of the 1st, Thomas Smith got the home team on the board with .02 remaining in the period to make it a 2-1 game heading to the 2nd.
A slow start and two penalties against saw Huntsville score 3 times in the middle frame to go up 5-1, before Noah Haggart netted a 2nd Almaguin goal, early in the 3rd. Aben would again reply with 2 more, before Brett Joiner capped the Ice Devil scoring with 1:08 left in the game. Almaguin assists on the night went to Liam Zurbrigg-Tutt and Devon Shuker.
