Playing For Bronze
After a hard fought 6 game playoff round-robin, our Midget Local League Ice Devils will battle it out for the MPS LL Bronze Medal on Wednesday evening (7:10 PM @ Don Lough) against South Muskoka.
The 2014-15 MPS LL Midget play-downs wrapped up Sunday night with a very close 3-2 loss to Huntsville Thoms & Currie.
Carrying the play most of the evening, Almaguin twice fought back from a goal down to tie the game before surrendering the lead with under 3 minutes remaining in the game. Up 6 players to 3, thanks to two T&C penalties and an empty Almaguin net, a wild scramble ensued at the Huntsville goal, but the visitors were unable to jam it in as time expired.
Ice Devils goals were scored by Sabastian Patterson (1st period) and Thomas Smith (2nd period, on the power play). Both goals were unassisted.
