Forever "Young"
Almaguin forward Lindsay Young tallied a 3 assist night, while her sister Stephanie added 2 of her own to compliment her excellent defensive play as Almaguin fell 7-6 in a high scoring exhibition tilt on Sunday night in Gravenhurst.
The host South Muskoka Bears came out strong, scoring the game's first 3 goals before Almaguin's Noah Haggart would get the Ice Devils on the board. Assists on the Haggart goal went to Liam Zurbrigg-Tutt and Steph Young.
Not Happy with the opening period, Almaguin put forth a determined effort in the 2nd, scoring a single period-season high five goals, while holding the Bears to just one. Ice Devils 2nd period markers went to "Boom-Boom" Zurbrigg-Tutt (from Haggart & Lindsay Young), Haggart (Stephanie Young), Zurbrigg-Tutt again (Lindsay Young & Riley Dunn), "rookie" Jacob Whitfield (Jevin Ronholm) and finally Captain Sabastian Patterson (from Brett Cox-Zamaria & Lindsay Young).
Holding a well earned 6-4 lead to begin the 3rd, the visitors were not able to hold on, allowing South Muskoka to score 3 times and complete the comeback.
