Sunday afternoon saw Midget LL’s Dalton Payne Contracting travel north to Sundridge for a rematch of what was a very exciting Oct 23rd
game down in Huntsville and the afternoon did not disappoint as the game ended as it began, 0-0.
Almaguin's Leona Lee turned in an outstanding performance between the pipes, as the game marked her third start and third straight spectacular effort in the Ice Devil cage, earning her player of the game honours.
After an entertaining, back and forth and wide open 1st period, the rivalry began to simmer in the 2nd, before boiling over in the 3rd. When the dust settled, the two squads had amassed 51 penalty minutes, 43 from the Huntsville side over the final two periods. The two teams do not meet again until the 22nd of January, which will hopefully give time for cooler heads to prevail.
