Too much Turkey??
Perhaps it was the long holiday layoff or perhaps the Christmas turkey and stuffing were to blame …

The Bantam LL Ice Devils took to the rink for their first game in three weeks as they headed west to Parry Sound to tangle with the Shamrocks.

A slow Almaguin start caught up to them quickly as the visitors opened the scoring in just the third minute of the game, before following that goal up with three more quick ones in just over a minute of play to effectively put the game out of reach at 4-0.

The Devils were not able to fare much better come the second period as the Shamrocks added three more quick tallies, this time in a span of just 49 seconds to stretch their lead to a commanding 7-0.

A much better final frame saw Almaguin start to battle back and actually win the period 1-0 as forward Markus Krajinovic connected for his team-leading fifth goal of the season, but the third period effort was too little, too late as Parry Sound easily skated away with a convincing 7-1 victory. Rookie Hayden Snow picked up the lone assist on the Almaguin goal for his first AMHA bantam point.
