The "Moore" The Merrier...
A snowy Sunday evening saw the Peewee Ice Devils in Parry Sound to battle the 1st place Shamrocks and the contest got off to a quick start as Parry Sound
opened the scoring before the game was three minutes old, then added another to
take a 2-0 lead after one period of play.
Following the quick first period, Almaguin's Connor McLaren (with assists to Hayden Snow and Cliff Loucks) and Brayden Moore (unassisted) book-ended a Shamrocks goal in the second to tie the game at two, after two.
With Almaguin serving a third period penalty, Parry Sound once again grabbed the lead, but again the Devils had an answer, this time set up by Moore and finished off by Snow. Then with only 2:04 remaining in the game, the Shamrocks scored what surely should have been the winner, poking in a loose puck in front of the Almaguin net. However, someone forgot to tell Moore and he still had more heroics in him, banging home the tying goal in the final minute to give the visitors a well earned 4-4 tie and a big point in the standings.
Player of the game for Almaguin with another solid performance in net was Josh dePeuter.
