McLaren/Carleton (and Krajinovic) beat Huntsville before win streak ends at 4.
A busy weekend for the Peewees got started on Saturday afternoon as the Ice Devils hit the ice in Sundridge to tangle with a tough Heather Douglas team from Huntsville.

The visitors opened the scoring early in the first, but Almaguin forward Colleen Carleton wasted little time in leveling the score as she tapped in a perfect Connor McLaren feed for her first goal of the season.  Taking control of the period, Almaguin were able to score twice more in the first as a beautiful end-to-end rush saw Markus Krajinovic rewarded with the game’s second goal.  Colleen Carleton, with her second of the game rounded out the scoring in the opening frame.

To go with his one assist, team Captain Connor McLaren added a couple of goals of his own, one in the 2nd and one in the 3rd to give the Ice Devils a 5-2 win. In addition to McLaren, the other assists on the afternoon went to Elizabeth Hancocks, Brayden Moore, Hayden Snow and Dylan Watt.

Sunday saw the team travel to Parry Sound for another afternoon game as they took on a much improved Parry Sound 2 Shamrocks team.  Playing with a shortened bench, Almaguin gave it their all, but ultimately came up short, losing by a somewhat lopsided 7-2 score and saw their winning streak halted at four games.  For the Ice Devils, Connor McLaren and Hayden Snow found the back of the net, while McLaren and Colleen Carleton each picked up an assist.
