Teamwork and passing were once again on full display on Saturday in
Burk’s Falls as the Peewee Ice Devils, led by Connor McLaren and Hayden Snow
hat-tricks, put up a season high 11 goals, cruising to a well deserved 11-2
victory over visiting South Muskoka Call of the Wild
Almaguin wasted no time getting on the board as Snow (from Dylan Watt) opened the scoring just 44 seconds into the game and they never looked back, adding one more in the 1st,, courtesy of Connor McLaren, four in the 2nd (Snow, McLaren, Cliff Loucks and Brayden Moore) and 5 in the 3rd (Moore, with his 2nd, Snow and McLaren again and Almaguin Player of The Game Max Boyes). Despite the scoreline, the game was quite entertaining and should have been closer if not for some big stops by Goaltender Josh dePeuter in the Almaguin net. To go with their hat 3-goal performances, both McLaren and Snow picked up 2 assists apiece to complete 5 – point days. Also picking up assists for Almaguin were Max Boyes and Elizabeth Hancocks with the first point of her Ice Devils career.
