First place Parry Sound Auto Parts shuts out Devils

A Saturday morning tilt between undefeated (2-0) Parry Sound Auto Parts and a high spirited Ice Devils team, coming off a 7-6 win the previous week fizzled quickly as Almaguin dropped it's 2018-19 home opener 7-0.
Both teams looked very even throughout the first, with Parry Sound netting the only goal of the period to take a 1-0 lead to the second. Tired legs and a fast skating Auto Parts team were a bad combination in the 2nd though as the visitors turned it on, scoring six times in all before the game was called in the final minute of the period due to a large and immediately non-repairable hole in the ice.
Almaguin will look to get back on track next Saturday with an early morning (9:20 AM) road game in Huntsville vs Heather Douglas Photography.
