PS Doubles Up Ice Devils
Another hard working, spirited effort by Almaguin, but in the end a tough loss as Parry Sound Sifft Electric skated away with the victory, doubling up the Bantam Ice Devils 6-3 on Saturday morning at SSJ Arena in Sundridge.

After a scoreless first period, the deadlock was finally broken by Parry Sound early in the second with three quick goals before Almaguin had an answer. Devils winger Clayton Johnson took a pass from Colleen Carleton and rifled a long range shot from beyond the blue line passed Sifft goaltender Mason Hansman to get the Devils back in it, making it a 3-1 game going to the third.

Parry Sound would widen the lead early in the final frame with a short handed goal, only to see Almaguin's Markus Krajinovic quickly reply on the power play to keep things close.  Johnson picked up an assist on the goal for his second point of the game. Continuing the comeback, the Ice Devils notched another just under a minute later as early season scoring leader Ayla Carter slid one inside the far post for her third of the year and bring Almaguin within one. The helper on the goal went to Sundridge's Levi Spoelstra.

Not willing to go quietly however, Parry Sound would add two more goals just 18 seconds apart to seal the win and send the boisterous home crowd home disappointed.

Almaguin will look to build on some better team play of late as they hit the road for a Saturday brunch start (11:45 AM) in Bracebridge to take on South Muskoka Muskoka Highlands.
